Compositions

Anika Liv Christensen's compositions primarily explore the relationship between human psychology and the natural environment. With a background as a flute player and classical singer, she experiments with the color palette that can be generated using the breath. She believes that the boundaries of genre and style limit the capacity of music, choosing instead to integrate elements of the experimental and traditional, dissonant and sonorous, troubling and beautiful in her compositions. She is particularly interested in using music to deepen the conversation around climate advocacy.
